The McMenon FPD300 classical venturi tube is a robust, low pressure-loss device that is available in line sizes 2 to 48 in. as standard, with larger sizes available upon request. The meter can measure a wide range of clean liquids and gases. Smaller sized units are machined from barstock or forged bar; larger sizes are typically fabricated from rolled plate with forged flanges. For applications requiring exceptionally low pressure loss, we offer a version that has a longer outlet cone with a shallower internal angle. This combination reduces the overall pressure loss.

A robust differential-pressure flow element (Venturi tube) that produces low permanent pressure loss, suited for applications requiring minimal energy loss. It handles a wide range of clean liquids and gases and is designed to international standards.

The FPD300 Venturi Tube is a classical differential pressure primary flow element, engineered for accurate and reliable flow measurement. Designed in compliance with ISO 5167, it delivers low permanent pressure loss, reducing energy consumption in pumping and compression systems. Available in sizes from DN50 to DN1200 (2–48 in.), and larger on request, it is suitable for liquids, gases, and steam, including challenging applications with some solids or wet gas.

With no moving parts, the FPD300 ensures long service life and minimal maintenance. A wide choice of materials, flange standards, and tapping options makes it adaptable to a broad range of process conditions, including high temperatures and pressures. Proven in the Oil & Gas sector, the FPD300 combines rugged design, efficiency, and precision for dependable flow metering in demanding environments.

Features and Specifications

Line sizes from 50 mm up to 1200 mm (2–48 in) standard; available as machined (DN50–250) or fabricated (DN200–1200) constructions. Classic 21°/15° or long-pattern 21°/7° cones available (including bidirectional models). Low permanent pressure drop by design; complies with ISO 5167; broad material selection (carbon steel, stainless, alloys) for various services.

Low permanent pressure loss → reduces pumping and compression costs.
High accuracy and repeatability (±0.2%).
No moving parts → virtually maintenance-free with long-term stability.
Wide applicability → suitable for clean liquids, gases, and steam; tolerant of some solids, wet gas, and multiphase flows.
Robust construction with options from carbon steel, stainless steel, duplex, super duplex, and special alloys.
Available in multiple sizes → DN50 to DN1200 (2–48 in.), larger on request.
