An assembly of an orifice plate integrated into a pair of weld-in orifice flange unions with pre-machined pressure tapping ports. It provides a complete flow restriction and measurement section ready to be welded into the pipeline.
Supplied with the orifice plate installed and aligned, including necessary gaskets, stud bolts, nuts, and jack screws for safe plate removal. Orifice plates are available with a variety of profiles to handle a wide range of applications: concentric square-edge for clean fluids, quarter-circle or conical entrance for viscous fluids, and eccentric or segmental for dirty fluids. Engineered and manufactured to latest standards – plates to ISO 5167:2003 and flanges to ASME B16.36. Flange unions are offered in various ratings (ANSI/Class or DIN) and materials (carbon steel or stainless steel standard, with others on request).

Used for flow metering in process lines where a permanent, welded orifice run is desired (reducing potential leak points from flange joints). Common in hydrocarbon processing and power plants for measuring flows of clean or moderately dirty fluids, with the plate profile chosen according to fluid cleanliness and viscosity.
Standard orifice sizing and selection tools apply. Additionally, manufacturers provide calculation support to ensure the multi-component assembly meets the required pressure drop and mechanical strength for the application.
