A differential-pressure flowmeter that uses a cone-shaped primary element to condition flow for stable, accurate measurement even with limited straight pipe runs. It offers high performance for measuring liquids and gases, including those with disturbed flow profiles.
Standard sizes typically 2 – 6 in (larger on request). Supports beta ratios around 0.45–0.75. Provides ±0.5% accuracy when flow-calibrated (≈5% uncalibrated), with 0.2% repeatability and 10:1 turndown. Handles liquids, dry or wet gases, with significantly reduced upstream straight-length requirements compared to orifice plates.

Suitable for high-accuracy flow measurement of liquids, gas or steam in applications with space constraints or turbulent flow. Often used in feedwater, steam, and fuel flow in power and energy systems, and other installations needing reliable flow data with minimal piping modifications.
DP flow sizing tools (software) available for proper sizing of cone meter and predicting performance (e.g. using industry-standard calculations).
