A metal-tube variable area flowmeter (armored rotameter) for measuring liquids, gases, or steam in demanding conditions. It provides a local indication of flow rate using a float in a tapered tube, with a robust stainless steel construction for high pressure/temperature service.
Operates from ½″ up to 4″ line sizes (various end connections, e.g. ANSI flanges). Flow ranges (water) span roughly 0.028 to 120 m³/h depending on tube size. Pressure ratings up to ~100 bar and temperatures up to 400 °C. Accuracy is typically Class 1.6 (±1.6% FS). This standard variant (Type FAM541) has flange connections for general industrial use. Options include alarm signalers (up to 2 switches) and a 4–20 mA/HART transmitter for remote output.
